This is a very complete motor pool class truck, fully titled, licensed, and insured, ready for work or play. Parts are plentiful and readily available. Maintenance is easy.The M1009 was the light-duty member of the CUCV family of military vhicles based on commercial GM/Chevrolet vehicles. This vehicle is a 1984 very complete restoration and comes complete with a fully functional RT524 VHF radio transmitter/receiver, a R442 VHF military radio receiver, all antennas, numerous spare parts, extras, and manuals for the truck and all of the gear. The M1009 was based on GM's Chevrolet Blazer. The interior of the truck was essentially the same as that of its civilian counterpart though lacking amenities such as air conditioning, radio, and carpeting. The interior upholstery is a burgundy red vinyl. Originially the vehicles came with rubber floor mats, but these were later ordered removed due to rusted out floors from trapped moisture. Like the other vehicles in this group and the first Humvees, this truck is powered by a GM 6.2-liter diesel engine and is equipped with an automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case.
